SCHOOL COUNCIL
At Haslington Primary Academy and Nursery, we value the roles and responsibilities of our School Council as they play a significant role in providing a voice for the pupils in our school.
Our council is made up of two representatives from each class. The councillors meet at least twice per half term to discuss any upcoming events and to discuss ideas linked to school improvement. They are also actively involved in safeguarding initiatives such as anti-bullying, healthy eating and online safety. The councillors also support local community events such as those held for Remembrance Day and community policing matters.

Joseph
Hello my name is Joseph and I like riding the bikes at school and playing with the Lego. I like being on the school council because I like talking in the meetings and wearing my school council badge.
Adelyn
Hi, my name is Adelyn and I love playing with the Barbie dolls at school and when I grow up I want to be a lifeguard. I like being a school councillor because I like the meetings with the big children.

My name is Violet. My favourite animal is a leopard. I wanted to become a school councillor to help people and be kind to others. My favourite lesson is Art because I like being creative.

My favourite food is pizza and my favourite sport is football. I wanted to become a school councillor so I could help people and help make decisions for the school. My favourite lesson is Maths.

My favourite subjects in school are Science and History. In my spare time, I really enjoy competing in football tournaments. I like being a school councillor because I am able to help others with their learning.

Hi, my name is Ella. My favourite subjects are Art and English. I like being a school councillor because I like helping others and want to make sure people feel happy in school. I enjoy doing ballet in my spare time.

My favourite subjects in school are Maths, Science and History. I enjoy competing in gymnastic competitions in my spare time. Being a school councillor enables me to ensure my friends feel happy in school.

Hi, my name is Lyla. I enjoy Maths and Science in school. In my free time, I like bouncing on my trampoline. I like being a school councillor because I am a good friend who likes helping others in my school.

Louie
Hi, my name is Louie. My favourite subjects are History and Science. I like being at Haslington Primary Academy because I have a lot of kind friends and other children make sure you always have someone to play with. When I grow up, I want to be a scientist. When I am not at school, I enjoy outdoor adventures with cubs.
Taylor
My favourite subjects are Maths and Science. I like being at Haslington Primary Academy because the teachers, teaching assistants and dinner ladies are nice and kind. When I grow up, I want to be a gymnastics teacher. When I am not at school, I enjoy football and brownies. I also play violin in school.

Hi, my name is Finley and my favourite subjects are Maths and PE. I like playing with people because I like seeing people smile and enjoy themselves. When I am at home, I like playing with my friends from school. My favourite colours are red and purple. I love Haslington Primary Academy and all of my friends that are here.

I love football and I am on the girl’s football team here at Haslington Primary Academy. One thing that I like about our school is all of the sports activities. At school, my favourite subjects are Art, PE and Science. At home, I love to play with my brother. I love playing with all of my friends, while I am at home.
