Haslington Primary Academy joined Alexandra Academy Trust in May 2021. The Trust is currently made up of Haslington Primary Academy and Nursery along with Monks Coppenhall Academy and Nursery. What Is A Multi Academy Trust?
A multi-academy trust (MAT) is a single entity established to work together to improve and maintain high educational standards across a number of schools. At the moment the Alexandra Academy MAT consists of Haslington Primary Academy and Nursery and Monks Coppenhall Academy and and Nursery.
The MAT is accountable for the performance of each school in the group, although each can still have their own governing body which operates subject to delegation of power from the MAT.
